About the Role
We are seeking a Project Assistant with a unique blend of technical, organizational, and engineering skills to support our diverse range of projects. As a critical member of our startup team, you will assume multiple roles, including contributing to AI and data analytics projects, supporting solution engineering, and managing contract and proposal development. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Technical and Engineering Support
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of AI/ML pipelines and MLOps workflows.
Support the preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis of datasets for AI/ML projects.
Contribute to the development of scalable solutions, including containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment in cloud environments.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize solutions for performance and scalability in real-world applications.
Proposal and Contract Management
Assist in the preparation, submission, and tracking of federal government proposals, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations.
Research and evaluate contracting opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, and SBIR/STTR programs.
Develop proposal narratives, budgets, and technical documentation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Maintain a library of reusable proposal content, including technical descriptions and past performance data.
Project Coordination and Operations
Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple contracts and initiatives.
Facilitate communication between internal teams, contractors, and government clients to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
Prepare detailed project reports, technical summaries, and presentations for stakeholders.
Identify risks and opportunities in project execution and propose mitigation strategies.
Startup-Focused Responsibilities
Assume multiple roles to meet the dynamic needs of the startup, including technical, operational, and administrative tasks.
Take initiative to identify and solve problems, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to scaling internal processes and external partnerships to support business growth.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2+ years of experience in project coordination, solution engineering, or AI/ML development.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of MLOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines and model deployment.
Knowledge of federal contracting processes and compliance requirements.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and responsibilities in a startup environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with geospatial data and applications in defense or environmental monitoring.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and scalable system architectures.
Understanding of data governance and security best practices for federal projects.
Knowledge of SBIR/STTR programs and federal R&D funding opportunities.
